God did not call you to do life alone. Christianity is a team sport. You need people around you who will encourage you through the lows and celebrate the highs of life (Hebrews 10:24-25). In order to grow spiritually, you must have people who have per- mission to step into your life and have hard conversations. So, keep attending church, get connected to a small group and see God do something.
When you follow Jesus serving will come naturally because God has gifted, called, equipped and empowered you to serve Him inside and outside the church. We don’t get a gold star for sitting in a chair each week; God has called us to do so much more. God wants us to get our hands dirty serving others just like Jesus got.
It is impossible to follow Jesus and not be concerned about people far from Jesus (Luke 15; 19:10). God put you where you are (family, work, neighborhood, school, etc.) because God wants to use you to make much of His Son Jesus. We must pray for those far from Jesus, invest in relationships with them, and then invite them to church or whatever their next step is toward Jesus. Pray. Invest. Invite.
We follow the most generous person in history. Jesus spent His life serving and giving to others and then ended His life in the greatest act of generosity in history. On the cross He gave sacrificially, He gave generously, and He gave everything. What Jesus did on the cross should make us grateful, and our gratitude should lead us to outra- geous generosity.  The practice of tithing and its blessings are available to all yet today.
