The Core Values of Greystone Church

Everyone Has a Next Step

Greystone is a church community dedicated to the spiritual growth of everyone who comes! Following Jesus means changing to be more like Him. Jesus will always be changing something in us, around us, or through us. What is your next step?

Life is
Better Together

God did not call you to do life alone. Christianity is a team sport. You need people around you who will encourage you through the lows and celebrate the highs of life. We encourage everyone at Greystone Church to join a LifeGroup. Do life together. Get connected to a small group and see God do something special in your life!

Found People Find People

It is impossible to follow Jesus and not be concerned about people far from Jesus (Luke 15; 19:10). God put you where you are (family, work, neighborhood, school, etc.) because God wants to use you to make much of his son Jesus. We must pray for those far from Jesus, invest in relationships with them, and then invite them to church or whatever their next step is toward Jesus. Pray. Invest. Invite.

We Give Because He Gave

We follow the most generous person in history. Jesus spent His life serving and giving to others and then ended His life in the greatest act of generosity in history. On the cross He gave sacrificially, He gave generously, and He gave everything. What Jesus did on the cross should make us grateful, and our gratitude should lead us to outrageous generosity. Giving tithes and then offerings is biblical and when this worship of God is done with a joyous heart bountiful blessings follow.

Saved People
Serve People

When you follow Jesus serving will come naturally because God has gifted, called, equipped and empowered you to serve Him inside and outside the church. We don’t get a gold star for sitting in a chair each week. God has called us to do so much more. God wants us to get our hands dirty serving others just like Jesus.

True satisfaction is found in Jesus Christ.

“It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.”.

— C.S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory
